The Bwimbai River is the largest tributary of the mighty Aiwa. From its source in the Šišin mountains it runs south towards Lasomo, joining the Aiwa about 100km upriver from Ngahêxôldod.
The Bwimbai region is notable for being the urheimat of the speakers of Proto-Talo-Edastean, the most significant immediate descendants of which were the Ndak, who created the first true empire in this region of Peilaš.
