The Šišin Mountains are a major mountain range in northern Peilaš.
They form the backbone of the isthmus connecting Peilaš proper with Siixtaguna as well as the northern edge of the Eigə watershed; the Bwimbai, Oltu, and Poráš Rivers all have their sources in the Šišin Mountains.
The Faraghin, whose culture in ancient times was centred around the Oltu valley, mined tin in the high passes for making bronze. The legendary Ndak emperor Tsinakan fought the Faraghin for these valuable deposits, establishing a number of fortified outposts that led to the formation of the Qedik nation.
