Tjakori is a wide plateau north of Xšalad and south of the Rathedān. It is centered around a large but shallow inland sea. The region has been conquered Western nomads twice, first by the Gezoro and Tjakori tribes around -3000 YP, and again two millennia later by the Añešnalåks. At other times it was part of the various empires of Xšalad. In 389 YP, the upper reaches of the Tjakori river valley were occupied by the Empire of Athalē.
Etymology:
Tjakori tjakori (presumably < PW *takadłe 'plain, grassland')
