Yewedu/Lexicon

All Wendoth Etymologies are given in their transformed forms where applicable, as in most cases these were the origin of the Yewedu stems.

Nouns

Most Wendoth nouns with monosyllabic nominative forms exhibit innovative nominatives in Yewedu, ultimately derived from the transformed stem that was used in conjunction with most case suffixes. In addition, many nouns that would be expected to end in a long vowel in the nominative end in the corresponding short vowel instead. This is again the result of analogy, in this case to existing nouns exhibiting vowel length alternations between cases.
