Zele is constructed with 19 consonants (*p,b,t,d,k,ɡ,t,s,f,s,z,ʃ,ʒ,ʁ,h,m,n,l,j) and 8 vowels (*i,u,e,ə̃,o,ɛ,ɔ,a)
Syllable structure is (C)V(C) initially and CV(C) medially and finally.
Nouns are inflected for six cases: nominative, accusative, genitive, dative, ablative, and locative. They are not morphologically marked for number; this is expressed with quantifiers.
Verbs are inflected for five tenses: present, simple past, past perfect, future, and relative present.
